P.I.E.

There isn’t a night that ever goes by
When I don’t need a piece of pie
It might be lemon, it might be lime
All I know it has to be mine.

Get it the car and drive to town
I need that pie, it’s going down
It could be apple, it could be berry
It matters not what makes me merry.

You say the pie shop’s closed tonight?
You say no P.I.E. in sight?
You try to put me in a fright?
Not much joy ‘til I get a bite.

Fire up the oven and get a tin
Knead the dough and put it in
Fill with rhubarb, fill with mince
Top it off with an egg rinse

You’re heading North, you must go South
No happy me ‘til it’s in my mouth
Seek out banana, seek out cream
If I don’t have one soon, I’ll scream
