Carrie Thompson Gunderson Anderson
My great-grandmother. She was born in Kongsvinger, Hedmark, Norway on July 2, 1877, the daughter of Arne Thompson and Eli Aaberg. She came to the United States in 1882. On June 2, 1897 she married Emil Bernt Gunderson and their son, Edgar Albert Gunderson was born on September 14, 1898. Their daughter, Emily Inga Gunderson was born on February 7, 1900 and died on August 9, 1900.Emil died on February 21, 1900, and Carrie married Thomas Andreas Anderson on July 30, 1902. Their daughter, Annette Ellen Anderson was born in 1903, and died on June 30, 1911.
Twin daughters, Clara Thorissa (my grandmother) and Thora Clarissa, were born on November 11, 1904.
Carrie died on May 11, 1966 from complications following being hit by a car while walking near her home in San Francisco, CA. After her service in San Francisco, her body was transported to Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she is buried.

Frida Gunderson Obituary
Frida O. Gunderson, age 101, of Friendship Village, Bloomington, MN. Frida was born August 7, 1909 on the family farm in Sioux Agency Township, Minnesota. She was the 12th of 14 children born to Halvor G. and Turi Odden. She graduated from Madison Normal School, Madison, MN in 1928. She worked at Powers Department Store in alterations for several years. She married Ed Gunderson on July 7, 1951 in Rapid City, SD and they made their home on Enchanted Island-Lake Minnetonka. Ed passed away May 9, 1966. She moved to Friendship Village in 1986. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, nine sisters and four brothers. She is survived by her step-daughter, Marian (Bob) Elfstrand; nephews, James Gee, LeRoy Leverson and James Bloomquist; nieces, Janet Bortnem, Connie Wanner and Muriel Coulter; many great, great-great, great-great-great nieces & nephews. Strobel, Dale J. age 79 of Bloomington. Born Oct. 11, 1926; died peacefully at Presbyterian Homes of Bloomington on Aug. 12, 2006 surrounded by his family. Dale was a Master Plumber, member of the Confederate Air Force and loved hunting and fishing. Preceded in death by parents, John & Thora; daughter, Gail Partlow and an infant daughter. Survived by loving wife, Delores; sons, Steven, Tom, Brian (Val), Tim, Scott, David and Michael; daughters and their husbands, Janice, Debra, Teresa and Patty; grandchildren, Lauren, Dale John and 18 others; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Marge Skaggs and many, many friends.
