Image Eileen passed away Dec 5, 2013, at the age of 96. She was born in Detroit, MI on July 24, 1917 to Michael and Marie Foley. On Nov 5, 1939 Eileen married Patrick Scully. He worked in the auto industry while she worked for U.S. Rubber, Co. Eileen was a true "Rosie the Riveter" during the war effort making airplane steering wheels and treads for tanks from 1942-1944. In February 1945, Eileen and Patrick moved to California, to start an egg ranch and raise their six children. In 1963, she began a 33 yr. career at Macy's. She began in housewares and rose to Head Cashier at the Sunrise Store. She retired at the age of 78 in early 1996. The next 10 years found her working as a volunteer at Mercy San Juan Hospital. Eileen was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Patrick Scully, daughter Patricia Scully, grand-daughters Susie Pooler and Angela Scully, and son-in-law Clifford Pooler. She is survived by her daughters Kathleen Pooler, Mary Scully Edholm (Tom), Teresa Marshall (Scott) and Peggy Scully-Linder (Michael), son, Thomas Scully (Fran), five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Memorial service will be held 11 am, December 14, 2013, Calvary Catholic Cemetery chapel. Interment service will be private. A reception of celebration will follow from 1-4 pm at Citrus Heights Community Center, 6300 Fountain Square Dr. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to or Mercy San Juan Medical Center Guild.
