Then the digging began. A big rig was brought in and started scooping.

Alas, the hard ground was a bit much even for the big one. At day's end, the hole was less than a third what it should have been.

The next day, a Bobcat, with a jackhammer attachment was brought in. That did the trick!

It was quick work to progress to the next stages. The wire form made things really begin to take shape.

Finally, the gunite was blown on, and the forms for the decking placed. The pool was almost done!
