The Thistle Dew Dessert Theatre is comfortably located in the lower level of an 1894 Victorian house. It is
the center for original theatre in Sacramento and the home of the Thistle Dew Playwright's Workshop.
Thistle Dew is Sacramento's unique intimate theatre experience. The 39-seat theatre presents original dramas,
comedies and musicals. It is the only theatre in Sacramento (perhaps the world) where dessert is included in the ticket price.
It is the only theatre in Sacramento where, when you attend a play, you are sure to meet the playwright
and some of the playwrights and members of the Thistle Dew Playwright's Workshop.

Public readings are staged Fridays and Saturdays in January and June at 7 pm at The Thistle Dew, free of charge, for theatre aficionados
who would enjoy offering critique to our local playwrights. Decadent dessert included. Reservations are required.
