You'd never know what it's like to be on Terra Firma
You'd never know unless you went away
You'd never know what it's like to be on Terra Firma
You'll never know because you had to stay

I'll take your wars, your crime and your pollution
I'll take your hatred and your politics
Please help me, give me a solution
Conquer my loneliness before I get sick

Ever since I've been here I've never seen another human face
Ever since I've been here I never saw another trace of human life

You'd never know what it's like to be on Terra Firma
You'd never know unless you went away
You'd never know what it's like to be on Terra Firma
You'll never know because you had to stay

I'll never know why they sent me out in outer space
Why'd they do it? I did nothing wrong
I'll be out here for the rest of my days
The way that it's going, it won't be long

When I think about it I shed a little tear
Oh you know I'm lonely because there's no one here to comfort me

You'd never know what it's like to be on Terra Firma
You'd never know unless you went away
You'd never know what it's like to be on Terra Firma
You'll never know because you had to stay

Commentary
I came up with the basic melody and initial words for this song while mowing the front lawn. Sort of a reference to Elton John's "Rocket Man."
