Ann Culp
I worked with Ann Culp for a number of years at DWR. She was also Sister-in-law to Harriett Six and Aunt to Don Duncan's wife, Betty.
Culp, Ann L. March 3, 1929 - May 21, 2015 It is with great sadness the Family of Ann Culp announce the passing of this fine LADY due to complications of pneumonia with her devoted family by her side. She waited for her beloved brother John to see her. When she awoke to find him at her bed side, she slipped away with peace and contentment, showing us what loyalty and love really is. Ann is survived by her son Lindy Culp (Marilyn) daughter Donna Roderick (Patrick Bonsall), grandsons Branden Culp (Robin) Todd Culp, great-grandsons Tyler Culp and Garrett Culp. Survived by brothers Larry Almeida (Shirley) and John Almeida (Karen) and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her loving brother-in-law Robert Culp (LaRue) God-Daughter Julie Wheeler (Bryan). Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Harry L. Culp. Preceded by her parents Manuel and Emily Almeida. Preceded by her sisters, Mary Jewett, Olive Borges and brother Manuel Almeida. Ann was born in Sacramento and lived her 86 years in Sacramento but traveled to many locations including Portugal her parents birth place. Of all her journeys, her favorite destination was in the stands of a baseball game or swim meet watching her grandsons compete. Ann worked as a supervisor in the Data Processing Unit for the Department of Water Resources for 35 years. After her retirement she worked as a consultant for the State. She went onto volunteer at Senior Gleaners where she used her skills in the Computer Center. She also co-owned Culp's Soil Stabilization with her husband Harry Culp.
