90, of Indianapolis, passed away November 5, 2008. She was born May 26, 1918 in Cleveland, OH to Axel and Helen Matilda (Linder) Tiderman. Ruth is survived by her sons, William M. Evans, Jr. and Thomas R. Evans; two grandchildren, Breanne M. and Carrie L. Evans; great-grandchildren, Kaleb R. and Olivia J. Evans. Preceding her in death was her husband, William M. Evans and a granddaughter, Heather R. Evans. Memorial contributions may be made to Paralyzed Veterans of America. There will be no visitation or services. Final arrangements are entrusted to Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel.
Joyce M. Baker, 78, of Eaton, Ohio, died Saturday afternoon, Nov. 4, 2006, at Greenbriar Nursing Center in Eaton following an extended illness.
Born June 3, 1928, in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of Leonard F. and Margaret (Tiderman) Glowe.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a stepson, James E. Baker; a sister, Beverly Gill; and a granddaughter.
Survivors include her husband, Herman E. Baker, whom she married Dec. 11, 1956; children, Leonard R. Burrell of Eaton, Juanita M. Eades of Xenia, Ohio, Anthony Hasselman and Bonnie M. George, both of Dayton, Ohio, a stepson, Donald L. Baker of Eaton; 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; a sister, Carol Figueroa of Cleveland, Ohio; and an aunt, Ruth Evans of Indianapolis, Ind.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Nov. 7, at Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens, West Alexandria, with Pastor Lowell T. Spencer officiating. Burial was in Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery.
TIDERMAN BETTY JANE TIDERMAN, age 93 of Medina, passed away December 3, 2013 in Medina. She was born in Cleveland on September 19, 1920 to the late Charles E. and Susan M. (Kohn) Sterye. Betty worked for many years as a medical technician at the Huron Road Hospital. She adored her cats and was a member of the Stay-A-While Cat Shelter. Betty had a beloved toy collection and cared for her family dearly. She is survived by her beloved daughter Susan (Richard) Ryals and her loving grandchildren Daniel R. Ryals and Laura (Dustin) Davis. Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Rudolph A. Tiderman, in 1973. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4:00 p.m. at WAITE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 765 N. Court St., Medina. age 71, of Chardon, Chardon, died May 3, 2009, at his residence.
Born Nov. 13, 1937, in Cleveland, he had lived in the Chardon area since 1996. Prior to that, he lived in Willoughby Hills.
Mr. Gurnick was a civil engineer/owner for 25 years at Mid-Con Construction, working his way to vice president. He was also the owner/operator of ViJac, Inc., from 1984 until his retirement in 2000.
Mr. Gurnick served with the Navy Reserves, graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1954, and earned a civil engineering degree from the then Fenn College in 1959, and earned licenses in civil engineering and surveyorship.
Survivors are his wife, Catherine A. (Tiderman) Gurnick of Chardon, whom he married Oct. 3, 1964, at St. Joan of Arc in Chagrin Falls; daughters, Joanie (John) Klemens, Donna (Rich) Fillman and Anita Gurnick; sons, Matthew (Lisa) Gurnick and Rev. Michael Gurnick; grandchildren, Courtney, Brian, Jacob, Josie, Kevin, and Delaney; and brothers, William (Judith) Gurnick and Richard (Mary Ann) Gurnick.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Dorothy (Stokes) Gurnick.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at The Church of St. Mary 401 North St., Chardon, OH 44024. The Rev. Michael Gurnick will officiate the service. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at The Church of St. Mary. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.

Funeral Services for Catherine C. Tiderman, 86, of Twinsburg will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Cosmas and Damian Catholic Church, 10439 Ravenna Road, Twinsburg.
Mrs. Tiderman died March 15, 2002, at Bedford Hospital in Bedford.
Born March 24, 1915, in Duquesne, Pa. she had lived in Cleveland before moving to Twinsburg.
She was a member of St. Cosmas and Damian Catholic Church, a member of NESCA, the Twinsburg Historical Society and Club 55 at the church. She enjoyed volunteering and helping people.
Survivors are her son, Robert G. (Lynn) Tiderman; daughters, Ellen Ida Newcomb and Catherine Ann (Don) Gurnick; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren and son-in-law Roy Walter.
Her husband L. Gus Tiderman died in 1982; her daughter Mary Lou Walter; son-in-law, William Newcomb and three brothers and two sisters and her parents John and Nelli (Given) Carr are also deceased.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Orlando-Donsante Funeral Home, 29550 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe, Ohio. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery in Cleveland.
