Was Mary Jefferson related to Thomas Jefferson, the 3rd President?

However, I suspect this data because Mary's daughter, Susannah, was born five years before Mary, in 1742. And that this Susannah Nichols is married to Colonel Charles Robinson.
Another source has Susannah born in 1759, meaning Mary would have been 12. Still seems unlikely.
But if true, then Mary Jefferson and President Thomas Jefferson were 1st cousins.
