Andrew Berg

Born in Aaberg, Austmarka, Norway 18 September 1864, died 17 August 1937 in Slayton, MN. Emigrated to US in 1892. Married Dorothy Gunderson 5 January 1889 in Norway.

Was 1st cousin to Carrie Anderson, my great-grandmother. Most likely one of his parents was sibling to Eli Aaberg, my great-great-grandmother.

Notes from my grandmother indicate that Andrew and Dortha Berg came from Austmarken, Norway. This is the same as Arne Thompson, my great-great-grandfather.

Erik Bergman

Erik Bergman - Erich Bergensen, both are names interpreted on census documents. Based on these census documents, I've traced family down to Bertha Berman Carlson, who was identified as Carrie Thompson Anderson's cousin. If this is a first cousin relationship, then Erik Bergman could be brother to Eli Aaberg (Berg being the common attribute). This is similar to the relationship for Andrew A. Berg. At this stage, everything's still speculation.

Kenneth Nightengale

OXFORD (Chenango County, New York) – Kenneth E. Nightengale passed away July 28, 2007. Kenny was born March 30, 1944 in Cortland. He was the son of Kenneth and Esther (Nelson) Nightengale. Kenny lived in Indianapolis, Indiana. Surviving are his wife, Cindy, their family and friends. Surviving are four brothers: Robert (Sheila) Nightengale of Oxford, Paul (Esther) Nightengale of Vero Beach, Fla., Leo (Carol) Nightengale of Oxford, and James (Barbara) Nightengale of Spring Field, Missouri. Two sisters, Beverly Crandall and companion, Louie of Binghamton and Joyce (Thomas) Diamond of Oxford. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral and committal services will be held Aug. 12 in Indianapolis, Indiana. A memorial service for Kenny will be held Aug. 12 at the McDonough Methodist Church, McDonough at 2 p.m. Pastor John Martin will officiate. This is a celebration of a life. Kenny courageously battled cancer. His family extends a welcome to all for Kenny's memorial service.

Betty Ann Conant

Betty Ann Conant, 80, a longtime resident of Norwich, died peacefully on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving children and grandchildren. Born on March 3, 1938, in German, NY, Betty was the daughter of Silas and Minnie (Nelson) Eggleston. She grew up in Norwich and graduated from Norwich High School with the Class of 1957, who voted her as the Most Athletic female that year and which she took great pride in. On July 29, 1957, in Oxford, Betty married Erford B. Conant. Over the following 37 years, the two raised their five children and enjoyed the love of their many grandchildren. Erford predeceased Betty on May 12, 2004. Later in life, Betty became the crossing guard on the corner of South Broad and Hale Streets for Perry Browne Intermediate School. For 11 years, she took great pride in ensuring the safety of the children every school day, along with the help with her famous hand puppet that she used to entertain and provide comfort to the children she guided. Her puppet wore over 100 different uniforms over the years and was even dressed up for the holidays. Betty was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Norwich. She loved the outdoors, enjoyed traveling with her family, and was always looking for a deal. Betty will be remembered as a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all she knew. Betty is survived by her daughters Dalelee Conant, and Jill Conant-Trivette; her sons Morgan Conant and his wife, Lorelei, Timothy Conant and his wife, Lianne; grandchildren Travis (Janice) Smith, Andrew Smith, Kristina Lamascola, Sargant Stephan Sargent, Audrey McCabe, Hilary Conant, Janie Trivette, Brandon Trivette, Justin Black, Ashley Steward, Cameron Turner, Daniel Conant, Eric Conant, and Cooper Conant; eleven great-grandchildren; sister Loretta Kaufinger; brother William Eggleston; as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Tracey Conant, in 2012, and her brother, Silas Eggleston, Jr. A memorial service will take place at the Wilson Funeral Home on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 1:30 p.m., where Rev. David Spiegel will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place in the spring at the convenience of the family. Marylou Olsen Fischer

About Mary Lou Fischer Louie was born May 3, 1954, in Anaconda. She was a great person with a caring, loving heart who took great pride in everything she did from gardening to baking.

Mary Lou was a also wonderful artist. She enjoyed making homemade crafts. She loved spending time with her children and baking bread with them. She would always take in people less fortunate and provide them with care. Louie did not have much, but what she did have she would share. Family also expressed that Louie was upbeat, smiling and had a positive attitude. She was loved by many family and friends and will be missed very much.

Louie was preceded in death by her parents, Iver and Catherine (Hartmiller) Olsen.

She is survived by her three daughters, Shelley Fischer, Jakie (Fischer) Clemons and Paula Fischer; son, James Fischer; brothers, Sidney Olsen, Terry Olsen, Iver Olsen, Wayne Olsen and Kenny Olsen; sisters, Nina Rush, Zelma Fode and Gloria Rostad, and two grandchildren.

Cremation has occurred. A gathering will occur on Thursday, Dec.1, at 10:30 a.m. at Mount Moriah Cemetery in Butte, with a reception to follow at 2301 Walnut St.
