I have not been without significant help in my quest to document the Bennett Family Tree. When I began my research in February, 2012, I only had Cece's father's name and his date of birth. I discovered significant resources from the following:
- Genealogy of Christina and Jason Pearson
(specifically Descendants of William M. Bennett.)
I haven't been able to communicate with Christina directly, but her online resource has been invaluable in finding ancestral history.
- Sambo Bennett WikiTree
maintained by Janice Pickens. Her husband, Bill, is Cece's 3rd cousin. This resource gave me family names that were heretofore unknown to us, and were significant in furthering research. Janice also provided to me the first photographs of Samuel and Hattie Bennett's grave markers.
- Elledge Family Tree
has been a great resource to discover Bennett links back into the 1600s. I haven't been successful in contacting Chuck Elledge (also related to Cece) but his information has been, and continues to be, invaluable.
- Grand Pocket's Blog
is another vast collection from Chuck Elledge.
- Yatesville History & Genealogy est. 2005.
Ron Yates' database has also provided great information and led me to many surprising discoveries. I have been in communication with him as well.
- Rose Lane, Cece's newly discovered cousin, and her son David Lane, provided much confirmation of information already discovered, plus added information and pictures.
- Bonita Butler, Secretary at Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel in Cottage Grove, OR, provided death records and obituary for Woodrow Bennett.
Riester
- Helen Riester WikiTree
This is the same WikiTree maintained by Janice Pickens, but it was very useful in finding out Riester family information. Upon discovering additional Riester resources, I was able to provide information back to Bill and Janice that they did not have.
- Linda P. Cohn - provided a Riester Family History document that opened up an entire family that had not been previously discovered.

is a great general resource, but specifically has good information on the Riester branch.

Wellman
- My most significant resource on Wellman family information has been Nancy Horstmann, whose
Wellman Family Photos
gallery provided significant insight into that branch of the family. While the Wellmans are not ancestors, they are a significant branch from Cece's great-great grandmother, Catherine Grimes Bennett Wellman.
- A secondary resource has been Deborah Brink, a Wellman descendant, who provided information on descendants of James Downey Wellman.
Huffines
- Jacob Huffines Descendants
by Shannon Stone. Unfortunately, Shannon's e-mail is no longer active.
- Pamela Wallace is a Huffines relative, and was able to provide a great deal of information on the family history. I, in turn, discovered some information and have been able to provide information to her as well.
- Will Armstrong is also a Huffines relative, and provided some documents to me regarding Juanita Bennett's marriage to Johnny Young. Juanita was married to Earcell Huffines, which is the focus of the Huffines research.
- Tracey McKillup is Earcell's granddaughter. Though not an actual relative, she was able to provide and confirm heretofore unknown information.

- Marjorie Lapping provided information about the William Owens family.
