Question: Origin of Lingle? There were several Lingle families in Paoli in the early 1900s. One, Samuel L. Lingle, was a physician. Was the name Lingle used to honor him?

According to 1940 Federal Census Records, for Paoli Township, Orange County, Indiana (enumerated in district 59-13 on April 27, 1940 on sheet 61B, lines 67 & 68), Damon Bennett and Evelyn Bennett are listed: Damon, age 20, Evelyn, age 23. She lived in Knox County, KY, on April 1, 1935, he in Orange County, Indiana. His occupation was listed as a laborer in a basket factory. Her census line was marked for supplemental question, and her age at first marriage was 22 and she was listed as a "housekeeper" at home.
This would put her birth around 1917, or late 1916. Their marriage in 1939.
An Evelyn Fields attended Jeffersonville, IN High School as a Sophomore in 1942. This would put her at about 18 in 1944, and born about 1926. An Anna Mabel Fields was in the 1939 graduating class.

Name match? However, I don't think the timeline is right for this to be the same Evelyn.

This Grave indicates daughters Evelyn Fields (Malm), Cecelia Fields (Smith) and Marcella Fields. May be coincidence, but interesting.
Other online evidence links an Anthony J. Shelton and a Cathryn Grace Shelton
She may be in this yearbook photo from Mt Carmel High School, Class of 1955. However, access requires payment.

The cause of death was not immediately released.
During his 43 years at the newspaper, Rodgers climbed the ranks from newsboy to publisher.
He began his career at the newspaper in 1955. He served as the newspaper's Linotype operator and shop foreman before his appointment as publisher in 1979.
Rodgers is survived by his wife, Linda, a 9-year-old daughter, Sarah, and three grown children, Brett, Pebbles and Teri.
Daughter Sarah Rodgers (Jack)
Son Brett Rodgers
Daughter Terri Hinahosa (Teri Hinojosa?)
Married John Barker
Elizabeth Faye Tate Pittman Bennett
According to this resource, Descendants of Nicholas Vieillar, she was previously married to Kenneth Raymond Pittman. According to earlier research by Cece's sister, LaRue Fisher, she had two sons, Danny A. Pittman, b. 13 Dec 1955, and Douglas R. Pittman, b. 3 Sep 1957.
Interestingly, although Damon and Elizabeth weren't directly related, it seems that he and her former husband's sons (it's not clear if they were her sons) may have been.
Comparing Cece's line and the (step?) sons of Elizabeth Faye Tate Pittman Bennett, we have:
Danny A. & Douglas R. Pittman -> Kenneth Raymond Pittman (1)-> Albert H. Pittman (2)-> Daniel R. Pittman (3)-> Harrison Pittman (4)-> George Pittman (5)-> James Pittman and Rachel McGrew
Cecelia Bennett Linder -> Damon Bennett (1)-> Samuel Bennett (2)-> William H. Bennett (3)-> Harrison Bennett (4)-> William M. & Rebecca Pittman Bennett (5)-> James Pittman and Rachel McGrew
So, if the above relationships are accurate, Cece and Danny A. & Douglas R. Pittman are 5th cousins.
