Unfortunately, I have no idea who Thomas Dawson's parents are. I have found a few new tidbits since I posted my first message. Thomas Dawson married Sarah (Sally) Bass in Fluvanna County, VA (now WV) on August 21, 1837. Sarah died in 1883 in Washington County, IN and is buried in the Mount Carmel Cemetery there. I haven't found any record of Thomas' death or burial, but that doesn't mean it isn't there. I haven't done an exhaustive search yet. If any of this sounds familiar, let me know.
